Bridge Nouveau Theatre would like to give a special thanks to The Guru in Baton Rouge, LA and Elevator Projects for their involvement with producing "Talley's Folly" by Landford Wilson. The show couldn't have been such a success without your expertise.
Our very first show was performed at the Baton Rouge Gallery, a BREC facility, which is a center for contemporary art. That being the case, we decided to perform John Logan's Tony Award-winning play RED. RED is a play about the American painter, Mark Rothko, and it explores challenging questions about artists and art itself. We found that doing the play in an actual art gallery was a special and profound experience because were surrounded by the art of local artists hanging on the walls of the gallery who were experiencing some of the same triumphs and challenges of the characters. It made the play come to life on a whole new and personal level.
